What's Nora Eatling Now: Baby Steamed Buddha's Feast

Baby's Buddha's Feast-P.F. Chang's

I used my "Get Out of the Kitchen Free" card early this week. I just couldn't convince myself to get started cooking. We went to P.F. Chang's, which is special to us as it was the location of our first date. Ironically, we met one of my "heros" Henri Landwirth, the creator of Give Kids the World where we had our second date.

Anyway, I packed some food for Nora, but we asked our waitress about a kid's menu. She immediately directed us to the steamed Buddha's Feast. (You can also get it stir-fried just like the adult version.) I couldn't believe the size of the serving. And she got a full serving of rice! We ordered one appetizer and one entree to share, but since I knew Paul really loved the Coconut Curry with Tofu and Nora was definitely not going to clean her plate, I actually ate her vegetables instead.

And of course, I was a tad nervous about the price. But I never dreamed what the bill would be. Nora's great plate, which could easily be a lunch portion for an adult cost $2.95. Isn't that about what a Happy Meal costs? And which one is better for the kid? I was so excited. I have to say that with a kid's meal of that high a nutritional value and that low of a cost, P.F. Chang's has definitely climbed in my rankings of best places for us to eat with kids.
