While I am ending a series of focusing on adding enjoyable bean recipes to your diet, in truth the discussion will never end. For beans or for any healthy foods to remain in our diet, we're likely to always be looking for yummy new ways to serve them. Here are just a few recipe take-aways. But remember, the options truly are endless.
I've linked to a few additional bean recipes. Remember, these are basic categories to show you how to add beans to your diet. There truly are endless options.
This series is about how to use one pot or one crock-pot full or beans to make great meals for the remainder of the work week. When I made this list, I completely ignored the option of just eating them plain, like they do in Italy. There are just so many uses for white beans! They really can be fun to eat. Hope these ideas inspire you, too.
We've only ever eaten at an In-N-Out Burgers twice on our visits to California. In fact, many years ago I spent a summer in southern California and never laid eyes on an In-N-Out. So, I'm not exactly sure in what regions they are located, but it's a chain with branches even in Arizona. The restaurant offered a map for people traveling by car this summer to locate restaurants along the way. It would have been fun to get one, but I am learning to be more concerned about the environment and not so wasteful.
Has it really been 9 days since I posted to this blog about our eating experiences? Worse. . .has it really been 9 days since I looked at my personal computer (work doesn't count)? I fear I am delinquent.
I don't know if this is a good deal. I haven't read that many people have tried it. Personally, I don't intend to try it because I haven't been eating enough to require refueling from previous MorningStar Farms sales. Nevertheless at about $0.36 a box of veggie-meat, it's a pretty good deal.
I just got Gourmet Mag's June issue in the mail two evenings ago and have only been able to glance through it for about 10 minutes while also talking on the phone at the same time. (I know all about what happens when you multi-task. That is why I'm not promising I read everything properly.) This issue seems to have interesting information about tofu and a number of fabulous summer recipes that would appeal to meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. I have attached links to topics that are available on Gourmet.com.
